The Garrett Park Swimming Pool Association sponsors the Garrett Park Swim Team as a service to the pool membership. The team is a member of MCSL which is an association of swim teams in Montgomery County. The MCSL was established in 1958 with the following purpose: "To sponsor competitive swimming and other activities among the swimming pools and organizations in Montgomery County, Maryland, and develop in children involved in these programs a love for the sport of swimming, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship."
Growing from a handful of swimming pools to 91 pools in 15 divisions, the MCSL is now one of the largest summer swim leagues in the country. Garrett Park, one of the original 8 charter pools, is proud to continue this long tradition.
