  Pep-Rally & Pizza
  Friday, June 18 5:45 PM on the Hill
Armand's will be serving several different kinds of pizza along with a limited selection and quantity of salads and sandwiches for purchase. Drinks- sodas and waters- will be provided. Cheers and spirit sign-making will follow.
   
  Dessert Contest
  Friday, June 25 - 3:00 PM on the hill
Use your imagination in creating your entry- think ladybugs, pools, coaches, healthy, swimming, and the like. Look for more information about specific categories which will be posted on the bulletin board at the pool.
   
  Tie-Dye & Ice cream social
 

Friday, July 2 - 3:30 PM on the Hill
Don't forget to bring an item to tie dye- ideas: a white T-shirt, a pair of socks or even a pillowcase. Please bring $2.00 per LadyBug for the Ice Cream Social portion of our afternoon.

   
  Team Photo & Games Tournament
  Friday, July 9 - 4:00 PM on the Hill - Games, 5:00 PM at the pool - Pictures
Group and individual pictures will be taken by Ventura Photography. If you have a team suit, please wear it for the picture! See the form at the top of the page for more details. You can print it out and bring with you or you can order online (before or after, I think).
   
  Lady bug Idol
 

Friday, July 16 - 4:00 PM at the town hall - See bulletin board for details.

We'll be having signups for the Idol show beginning Monday, July 12 so plan a solo act or work together with friends and start practicing. We can't wait to see all of our talented ladybugs out of the water and on the stage!

   
  White Water Rafting Trip
 

Wednesday, July 17-18 Cheat River in West Virginia
We will leave in the afternoon on the 17th and camp out overnight. Our rafting trip is set up for July 18 and we will return later that evening.
Here are the ground rules for going on the trip

  • 1) In order to go you must have completed 9th grade or above. Going into 9th grade does not count.
  • 2) You must sign up on the yahoo site by 12pm next Saturday (7/10). We have space for twenty people, but we can add to it if we need to so if you are planning on going please sign up ASAP. The cost is $65 per person and you will need to pay me before we leave. Cash or check.
  • 3) If you are under 18 you will need to bring a parent permission form. Click on "parent permission form" and download it. IF YOU DO NOT BRING THIS WITH YOU AND YOU ARE UNDER 18 YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO RAFT. There is also liability form to sign, and I will get that to you once you have signed up.
  • 4) We will need parents to drive and to supervise so please if you are interested in going we need you to come, otherwise we will not be able to go. You can sign up on the yahoo site as well.

   
  Black & Red All Team Swim-a-thon
 

Wednesday, July 21 - 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM at the pool
All proceeds from the event will go to support our very own Garrett Park Swim Team. The team’s budget covers coach’s salaries and equipment such as watches, flags, computers, printers, ribbons, clipboards, our starting machine, etc. When equipment needs to be replaced, we need to be confident that our team can pay the cost.

Pre-team families - please bring baked goods for the bake sale that evening.

We will be selling raffle tickets and will have prizes for both adults and children. If anyone would like to donate raffle prizes, please e-mail me to let me know. Examples - restaurant/fast food/ice cream gift certificates, pool toys, hats, t-shirts, craft projects, electronic gadgets, etc. (All prizes should be new). See the form at the top of the page for more details.

5:15 pm All volunteers please report
5:30 pm - 6:00 pm registration and pledge collection - please come to the table at the swim team gate to turn in your money and receive your beach ball.
6:00 pm - 6:30 pm 8 and unders swim laps
6:30 pm - 7:00 pm games for everyone
7:00 pm - 7:45 pm 9-10s, 11-12s, 13-14s, 15-18s swim laps
7:45pm - 8:00 pm more games
8:00 - 8:45 pm all ages groups finish their laps
8:45 - 9:00 pm - Penny dive!

We will reserve one lane for any adults that are participating in the swim a thon. Raffle tickets will be sold for $1 throughout the evening.

   
  Swim Team Banquet
  Sunday, July 25 - 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Church/School
Each family please bring a 2-liter bottle of something to drink to share. More info to come.
